I'm seeing life increasingly through a lens of my contribution toward goodness, life, and grace and then my efforts that take away from these things. I'm only one life, just like any of us. And I want my life to be given toward positive contributions of the whole. That's the way of Jesus of Nazareth, whom I'm patterning my life after. So it seems to me that being a citizen of the whole is a choice that you can't assume. And it's the path I've chosen to follow.

Jillian recently learned to ride her bike. She's so excited about her blue basket where she can take her little bunny with her. She loves the streamers that decorate her little red bike. And her ringer warns all in her path that she's coming. Since she learned it's been an almost daily request that she go out riding. I'm very proud of my little princess. Watching her grow and learn new things is such a joy. I was thinking that learning to ride a bike has application to much of life. PREPARATION: adjust the seat for comfort and fit. Get on your protective gear; PRACTICE: you have to try it out - it's a bit awkward at first, but you get accustomed to the newness and you get better at it. DEVELOP SKILLS: peddling, turning, watching where you're going, braking. DO WHAT YOU'RE MEANT TO DO: As time goes on you develop an intuition where you ride so naturally, almost on auto pilot. Humans are the kind of creatures that require development. Few things come naturally from the onset. Work is like this, sports, and so it following the way of Jesus. You first become aware of this way, you decide to do it - Prepartion; you learn Practices that develop Jesus' ways in you (Skills); and you learn to live and breathe the ways in your entire being.  Posted by Hello
